top cord blood banksIt has been a great year for us here at New England Cord Blood Bank! As we reflect back on 2015, it is impossible not to feel incredible gratitude. Those who have worked with us for many years have noticed some big changes. If you’re just getting to know us, we’re excited to fill you in on all the news!

As we enter the 2016, we will continue to provide excellent services and opportunities for current and expectant parents. Here are a few highlights from 2015:

Recognition:

Consumer news and advocacy organization, Consumer Affairs, ranked us among their “Top 9 Rated Cord Blood Banks.” The review noted numerous benefits of working with New England Cord Blood Bank including safe and easy retrieval of stem cells, automated processing, referral incentives, and clinical experience.

Relocation:

The big move was one of our most exciting announcements of the year! We are thrilled to be in a new, state-of-the-art facility in Marlborough, MA. Our custom-built laboratory features the very best technology in the industry. Our new facility will also allow us to leverage efficiencies to control expenses and continue to make our services affordable.

Worldwide Partnerships:

Members of our team traveled to many of our affiliates around the globe. They hosted educational seminars, shared news and ideas in the advancements of regenerative medicine, and worked together on future projects. Some of the countries that were visited were Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay.

Online Community:

We believe that connecting with clients through social media is a great tool in today’s world. Our online community on Facebook grew to more than 6,500 members this year! As social media continues to grow, New England Cord Blood Bank will move with it, though nothing can replace the personalized service you get when speaking directly with members of our team. We continue to strive to provide excellent customer service, and to be a friendly presence at baby expos, family events, and through community involvement.

A Passion for Science:

We continue to stay on top of advancements in the field, through attending talks on regenerative medicine, following studies of stem cell use, and sharing current information with our clients and affiliates. Our cell biologist has been involved in presenting to a variety of organizations on the subjects of cord blood and tissue research and usage. In addition, there have been many more studies on the use of mesenchymal stem cells derived from dental pulp. There is a growing interest in banking these stem cells through National Dental Pulp Laboratory, our subsidiary. We are proud to house all of our laboratory, storage facility, and worldwide headquarters under one roof!
